Minutes and reports, 1951-1960.

Includes paper and microfiche copies of meeting minutes. Two meetings of delegations from the three church bodies exploring merger were held in 1949. A meeting of a special committee of six, charged with outlining the steps necessary for union, was also held in 1949. The records of these meetings, plus that of the Sub-Committee on Supplementary Maps and Data, held in 1950, are available in microfiche only. All meetings of the JUC are available in paper and microfiche. The collection also includes the United testimony on faith and life, 1952, available in paper only, and the Report of the Joint Union Committee to the conventions of the negotiating bodies for 1954, 1956 and 1958, as well as the Report of the Joint Union Committee to the constituting convention of the American Lutheran Church, 1960, and its supplement.
